The Flock Walk at Devil's Milhopper

Join us for a morning bird walk around Devil’s Millhopper! We’ll begin with a leisurely stroll along the half-mile nature trail that circles the top of the sinkhole. For those interested, we’ll then follow the boardwalk down into the limestone sinkhole, which the park’s website describes as a “miniature rainforest.” 📍 Meeting Point: We'll meeting in the parking lot at 4732 Millhopper Road, Gainesville, FL 32653. 🕘 Start Time: 9:00 m ⏱ Duration: 1.5 hours 🌿 Trail Conditions: The trail offers an easy, shaded walk, but be prepared to climb stairs if you plan to use the boardwalk into the sinkhole. 💲 Parking: $4 fee per vehicle What to Bring: ☀️ Water, sunglasses or a hat, and sunscreen 🦟 Bug spray 🥾 Sneakers or hiking shoes 🔭 Binoculars or camera The Flock is Alachua Audubon's birding group for women who enjoy exploring the outdoors with a welcoming and safe community.
