FIELD TRIP - Morningside Nature Center with the Flock

Join the Flock at Morningside Nature Center! Morningside is one of the area’s last remaining examples of fire-dependent longleaf pine woodland. More than six miles of trails wind through sandhill, flatwoods, cypress domes, and restored native habitat—providing plenty of opportunities to find a variety of birds along the way. 📍 Meeting Point: Parking lot of Morningside Nature Center at 3540 E. University Ave., Gainesville, FL 🕘 Start Time: 9:00 AM ⏱ Duration: 2 hours 🌿 Trail Conditions: The trails are relatively flat and typically dry, although recent rain can create muddy spots, so sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.
