Historic Art Exhibition Featuring “Art from the Archives”

View rarely displayed artwork from the Matheson History Museum’s permanent collection during “Art from the Archives,” a special exhibition celebrating Gainesville’s Downtown Festival & Art Show. Featuring oil paintings, watercolors and other works, the exhibition offers a glimpse into pieces not typically available for public viewing. See a different side of the museum’s collection while learning about its ongoing efforts to preserve Gainesville and Alachua County’s history. This free exhibition highlights the artistic treasures housed within one of the community’s historic institutions.
