One Million Counterextinctions: Climate and Art Workshop

Create a response to the challenges facing local species during Stage 2 of One Million Counterextinctions at Depot Park. Participants receive air-dry clay, drawing tools and a card introducing a local species and the climate conditions it could face by 2045. Design a habitat, system, tool or other idea that could help the species survive, with no art experience required. Each creation is credited to its maker and added to the project’s public archive. Selected designs may later be fabricated and installed as public art throughout Gainesville. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
