Experience a moving story of family, identity and acceptance during a screening of “My Straight Son” at the Gainesville Latino Film Festival. Diego is preparing to make his relationship with Fabrizio official when his teenage son, Armando, unexpectedly arrives from Spain. As father and son work to rebuild their relationship after years apart, an act of violence changes their lives and challenges them to confront grief, prejudice and unresolved differences. The film explores family relationships, personal identity and the connections that can bring people together.
