Gather for an evening of live jazz and creative collaboration during the free Community Jazz Sessions at Heartwood Soundstage. This month’s featured guest is trumpeter Scott Wilson, director of Jazz Studies at the University of Florida, performing alongside a professional house rhythm section. Jazz musicians of all experience levels are invited to bring an instrument and sign up for the opportunity to sit in on a tune or two. Listeners are welcome to settle in and enjoy an evening of spontaneous performances, local talent and the energy of Gainesville’s jazz community. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.
