Discover a story of art, community and resilience during a screening of “Comparsa” at the Gainesville Latino Film Festival. Set in Ciudad Peronia, Guatemala, the film follows sisters Lesli and Lupe as they bring young people together through a colorful street performance featuring towering puppets, stilt walkers, music and drums. Their creative work becomes a way to address challenges facing their community while encouraging connection, healing and hope.
