Art After Dark

Experience art and culture from across Cuba and Latin America. Celebrate the new Layered Lives exhibition featuring 60 works by 10 Cuban women artists. The exhibition brings together three decades of photography, paintings, ceramics and prints illustrating the resilience, innovation and expansive creativity of Cuban women artists whose layered stories continue to shape our understanding of Cuba and its diaspora. The evening’s activities include: Tours and activities relating to the Layered Lives exhibition, highlighting contemporary work by Cuban women artists. Dance the salsa and bachata with Gator Salsa. All skill levels welcome! Gainesville Latino Film Festival Kickoff at 6 pm with the film “Una canción para mi tierra.” Seating is limited. Selection of light bites while they last.
