SUMMARY:The Flock Walk at Blues Creek Ravine Preserve
LOCATION:6710 NW 69th Ave\, Gainesville\, FL 32653-3009\, United States
DESCRIPTION:Join The Flock at Blue Creek Ravine Preserve! As we approach cooler weather\, lets head into the woods and enjoy the what late fall migration has to offer. According to the Alachua Conservation Trust's website\, the ravine features of Blues Creek are steeply incised stream banks that create a dramatic setting and unique seepage slopes. The site has existed in its current state\, with very little human activity for many decades\, making the land an almost pristine example of a North Florida upland habitat. It also contains a number of important plant species such as the threatened crane-fly orchid and southern lady fern. 📍 Meeting Point: There is no parking at the trailhead. Parking is available on the shoulders of NW 71st Street. That's where we'll meet. 🕘 Start Time: 9:00 am ⏱ Duration: 2 hours 🌿 Trail Conditions: Trails are unpaved and in some places can be muddy\, uneven\, or wet. What to Bring: ☀️ Water\, sunglasses or a hat\, and sunscreen 🦟 Bug spray 🥾 Sneakers or hiking shoes 🔭…\n\nSource: Alachua Audubon Society — https://alachuaaudubon.org/events/
